                                                        A Day at the Beach

Many of us get stuck in the same old routine, visiting the same beach week after week.  So, a staycation is the perfect opportunity to step outside of the box and explore the many beaches southern Florida has to offer.  Here’s a small sample of what you’ll find….

Ocean Ridge Hammock Park – This is the beach to visit if you want a little more seclusion and peace and quiet.  Tucked away behind a green canopy and a little boardwalk and observation deck leading to the sand and water, this is the perfect place to take your favorite beverage and book for a relaxing day.  Located at 6620 North Ocean Blvd in Ocean Ridge, it’s an easy drive!

Atlantic Dunes Park – Another quiet and serene getaway, you’ll find lots of relaxation and serenity here.  This beach is located at 1605 South Ocean Blvd in Delray Beach.

Dog Beach of Hollywood – Looking for something a little off the beaten path?  Want to take your four-legged friend along?  Try the Dog Beach of Hollywood.  Open Friday thru Sunday from 3:00pm to 7:00pm, your furry little munchkin can splash and play with other like-minded canines.  Check out for more information.

John D. Mac Arthur State Park – This Park includes 800 acres with 535 acres of a tidal estuary.  A 1600 foot crosswalk leads visitors across the estuary and over to the beach.  The park’s boat ramp makes loading canoes and kayaks easy.  Snorkeling is a must-do here.  Along with regular reef fish, you’ll get to witness lots of sting rays, barracudas and sand-sharks.  The beach is unguarded, and dive flags are mandatory.  The park is located at 10900 Jack Nicklaus Drive in North Palm Beach.
